Roczny EVS na Litwie

Chrześcijańska Służba Charytatywna (ChSCh) we współpracy z litewską organizacją SALTES poszukują zmotywowanych wolontariuszy, gotowych wyjechać na roczny EVS do Wilna. Projekt rozpocznie się we wrześniu 2013 roku.

EVS, czyli Wolontariat Europejski jest współfinansowany ze środków programu „Młodzież w działaniu”. W ramach projektu wolontariusz ma zapewnione zakwaterowanie, ubezpieczenie, wyżywienie, zwrot 90% kosztów podróży oraz kieszonkowe na wydatki osobiste. Program przeznaczony jest dla wolontariuszy w wieku 18-30 lat.

Osoby zainteresowane wyjazdem prosimy o przesłanie CV i listu motywacyjnego w języku angielskim na dwa adresy mailowe: evs@bliskoserca.pl ORAZ evssaltes.egle@gmail.com do 15.04.2013 roku. Prosimy o zaznaczenie w liście motywacyjnym preferowanej organizacji goszczącej – SOS Children's Village lub Non-Governmental kindergarden "Nendre". Poniżej znajdują się opisy poszczególnych projektów.

1. HO SOS Children's Village (2 volunteers needed for 12 moths starting from 1st of September): Nongovernmental children's home "Vilnius SOS children's village" is a department of international organization SOS Kinderdorf International in Lithuania. It is a specific kind of children's home in which children grow in an "artificial" family. Main goals of the organization are to create families for children in need of care, providing them with home, SOS mother, SOS brothers and sisters, and give them needed help, thus ensuring safe and fulfilled growth of children. The organization believes that the strongest basis for future of children can be built growing in a family. SOS family, although created artificially, for many children can serve as biological family, because in this family long-term emotional relations with SOS mothers and other members of SOS family can be created.

Opportunities, which we can suggest to volunteers:

• An opportunity to work with people, to learn from them and to provide them help which is needed;
• An opportunity to spiritually grow, improve social skills;
• An opportunity for self expression and a space for initiatives;
• An opportunity to join to traditional festivals, events, cams organizing; 
• A possibility to work in a team of professionals, to learn from them, to gain special knowledge;
• Learning Lithuanian language, gaining knowledge about Lithuanian culture; 
• Help and assistance in implementing ideas for activities with teenagers and youngsters – providing with material needed, serving for other needs according to possibilities;

2. HO Non-Governmental kindergarden "Nendre" (2 volunteers needed for 12 months starting from 1st of September):

The services rendered by "Nendre"

• Care about children of the pre-school age group; pre-primary education;
• Organizing occupations for schoolchildren;
• Assistance in case of family crisis;
• Informal enlightenment of mothers;
• Mediation, representation of interests;
• Informing, consulting (provided by a social worker, a psychologist, a pedagogue, a speech therapeutic);
• Services related to integration to the labor market;
• Promoting social inclusion of marginalize people increasing gender equality;
• Increasing self- confidence in young people;
• Organizing summer camps for families;
• Involvement of families in various cultural programmes.

Volunteer's activities in the HO Non-Governmental kindergarten "Nendre":

Pre-school group (Monday-Friday):
10-11 am – support for pedagogue; 
11-12 am – communicating and playing with children;
12-1 pm – common lunch together with children and tutor;
1-4 pm – outdoor activities with children or preparation for the events;
4 pm – dinner (optional) 

Day-care center for children (Monday-Friday):
12-1pm – common lunch together with children and tutor in the pre-school group;
1-4pm – meeting children in the day-care center;
1-4pm – preparing homework – volunteer help children during their homework preparation for school;
4-4.30pm – dinner (optional)
5-6 pm – opportunity to implement individual ideas and to lead his/her chosen workshop. Presenting volunteers own country for children through interractive games. Preparation for the events, excursions, feasts. 

The volunteer can also be offered to implement his EVS project with the family, individual work with each family children. Also the volunteer can support teachers with creative works (singing, dancing) activities. In the center the volunteer will also represent the model of equal rights.
